This role requires strong analytical skills and hands-on experience with mining environments. You will conduct airflow surveys, gas monitoring, and data analysis, collaborating with planning teams to integrate ventilation into mine design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining or Mechanical Engineering with a ventilation focus.
• Minimum 5 years of underground mine ventilation experience.
• Proficiency with Ventsim or VentGraph software.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics and fluid dynamics in mining.
• Experience with environmental monitoring equipment and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize mine ventilation systems.
• Conduct airflow surveys, dust sampling, and gas monitoring.
• Analyze ventilation data and improve heat, humidity, and contaminants control.
• Oversee installation and maintenance of fans, ducting, and regulators.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations for mine ventilation.
