You will design and monitor ventilation and environmental controls, work with operations and safety teams, and prepare reports for regulatory submissions. The role emphasizes safety, energy efficiency, and cost-effective operations in demanding underground mining conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with a focus on ventilation.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mine ventilation engineering, preferably in underground mining.
• Strong knowledge of ventilation principles, fan systems, and air monitoring equipment.
• Familiarity with mine ventilation software and modeling tools.
• Understanding of mine dust control and gas monitoring techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, and maintain mine ventilation systems to provide adequate airflow and environmental conditions.
• Conduct regular surveys of airflow, air quality, and temperature throughout the mine.
• Develop and implement dust suppression and control strategies.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations related to mine ventilation.
• Optimize ventilation systems for energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Investigate and resolve ventilation-related issues and hazards.
