Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mine ventilation engineering, preferably in underground mining.
• Proficiency with mine ventilation software (e.g., Ventsim, Barrick).
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and air quality management in mining environments.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, and maintain mine ventilation systems, including fans, ducting, and environmental monitoring equipment.
• Conduct regular surveys and assessments of mine atmospheric conditions, including dust, gas, and temperature levels.
• Develop and implement strategies to control airborne contaminants and manage heat stress.
• Utilize ventilation modeling software to simulate airflow and predict environmental changes.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations pertaining to mine ventilation.
• Provide technical support and training to site personnel on ventilation best practices and equipment operation.
