The role requires 10+ years in mining operations with at least 5 years in senior management, BEng/BSc in Mining Engineering, and ideally an MBA or management qualification. You will guide engineers and staff, drive cost optimization, and liaise with regulators in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Mining Engineering; MBA or relevant management qualification is a plus
• Minimum 10 years in mining operations; at least 5 years in senior management or Mine Manager role
• Proven track record managing large-scale open pit or underground mining operations
• Deep knowledge of SA mining legislation, safety standards and environmental best practices
• Strong financial acumen and budget management experience
• Excellent leadership, decision-making and communication skills

You will manage a diverse team of professionals, including engineers, supervisors, and operational staff, fostering a culture of excellence, safety, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in mine management, strong leadership capabilities, and a comprehensive understanding of mining operations, regulations, and best practices, driving the success of the entire operation.

Key Responsibilities
