Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• At least 10 years in mine operations with 5+ in management.
• Experience with open-pit and underground mining methods.
• Knowledge of mine planning software and computerised management systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement plans to meet production targets and KPIs.
• Oversee drilling, blasting, hauling and processing activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.

You will manage a diverse team of professionals, optimize production processes, and implement best practices to meet output targets while adhering to strict safety and environmental standards. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational plans to achieve production targets and key performance indicators.
• Oversee all aspects of mine operations, including drilling, blasting, hauling, and processing.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
• Manage operational budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mine supervisors, engineers, and operational staff.
• Conduct regular site inspections and performance reviews to maintain high operational standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in mine operations, with a minimum of 5 years in a management role.
• Proven experience with various mining methodologies (e.g., open-pit, underground).
• Strong knowledge of mine planning software and operational management systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Valid Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency (or equivalent).
