Qualifications

• Advanced life science or clinical degree required (MD/PhD/PharmD/DVM or equivalent).

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly scientific and clinically astute Medical Science Liaison (MSL) with a specialization in Immunology to cover the Stellenbosch region. As an MSL, you will be the primary scientific and medical interface with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the healthcare community. Your role will involve disseminating complex scientific information, understanding unmet medical needs, and gathering insights to support our client's medical strategy. This position requires extensive travel within the territory and offers a unique opportunity to engage with leading experts and contribute to advancing the understanding and application of our client's innovative therapies.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs) in the immunology field.
• Deliver accurate, balanced, and scientifically rigorous information on assigned products and therapeutic areas.
• Gather insights from KOLs and HCPs regarding clinical practice, unmet needs, and emerging research trends.
• Support the development and execution of the regional medical strategy.
• Present scientific data at medical congresses, symposia, and advisory boards.
• Identify potential investigators and research sites for clinical trials and real-world evidence studies.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, DVM, or equivalent) in a life science or clinical discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an MSL or in a related medical affairs role within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Deep scientific and clinical knowledge in Immunology and related therapeutic areas.
• Proven ability to effectively communicate complex scientific data to diverse audiences.
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and networking skills .
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
