Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) with oncology expertise to cover Sandton and surrounding areas. You will act as the scientific communicator between the company and key opinion leaders, delivering deep clinical insights and supporting research initiatives.

The role requires substantial travel within Gauteng, engaging with leading oncologists and researchers, delivering educational programs, and collaborating with medical affairs and R&D to inform strategy.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., D.V.M.) in a life science or related healthcare field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a medical affairs role, preferably as an MSL, or extensive clinical/research experience in oncology.
• Deep understanding of oncology, including disease states, treatment paradigms, and clinical trial methodologies.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with KOLs and engage in high-level scientific discussions.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the territory, including overnight stays, in and around Sandton.
