Job summary

Placements24 seeks a highly qualified Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in Oncology to join a field-based team serving the Eastern Cape region. This remote-first role focuses on building relationships with KOLs and healthcare professionals, disseminating complex scientific information, and supporting IITs.

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a highly knowledgeable and engaging Medical Science Liaison (MSL) specializing in Oncology to join their field-based team, covering the Eastern Cape region. This role is crucial for building and maintaining strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals, disseminating complex scientific and clinical information about their innovative oncology portfolio. As a remote-first position, you will operate autonomously, leveraging your expertise to foster scientific exchange and support research initiatives. This is a unique opportunity for a scientifically driven individual to impact patient care and advance medical knowledge in the field of oncology, working from your home base with extensive travel throughout the designated territory.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with oncologists, researchers, and other healthcare providers who are key stakeholders in oncology.
• Deliver accurate, balanced, and scientifically sound information regarding the company's oncology products and therapeutic areas.
• Identify and support potential research collaborations and investigator-initiated trials (IITs).
• Gather insights from KOLs and the field regarding unmet medical needs, treatment landscapes, and competitive intelligence.
• Represent the company at scientific conferences, symposia, and other relevant medical meetings.
• Provide scientific and clinical support to internal teams, including marketing, medical affairs, and R&D, as needed.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D.) in a life science or clinical discipline.
