The Management Recruitment Group (MRG) is an international executive search and talent advisory firm specialising in senior appointments across real estate, facilities management, development and the built environment. Founded in the UK in 2007, MRG has grown internationally while remaining deliberately different by design. Our marketing helps make our expertise visible, strengthens relationships and supports growth across our global markets.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a proactive, commercially curious Marketing & Content Creator to help bring MRG’s brand and expertise to life. This is a practical, varied role for someone who can write clearly and confidently, manage social channels, create on-brand assets, and use performance data to understand what is working. You will work closely with the Group Marketing & Operations Director (UK based), and colleagues across our international offices to turn ideas into consistent, engaging and commercially impactful marketing activity.
You will also have the opportunity to work alongside a young, vibrant and dynamic team in Cape Town, contributing to a fast-paced international business with a strong entrepreneurial culture and global reach. From creating content and supporting campaigns to helping shape how MRG is positioned in the market, you will play an active role in building brand awareness, engaging talent communities and supporting the continued growth of the business.
Key responsibilities
Content and copywriting
- Write clear, engaging copy for LinkedIn, website pages, blogs, newsletters, brochures, campaign materials and internal communications.
- Help maintain and deliver the marketing content calendar, coordinating input from consultants and international teams.
- Turn sector knowledge, interviews and market insight into useful content that demonstrates MRG’s expertise and credibility.
- Adapt messaging for different sectors and locations while maintaining a consistent global brand voice.
Social media management and engagement
- Plan, publish and manage content across MRG’s LinkedIn presence and support colleagues with personal-brand content.
- Monitor comments, messages and engagement; respond or route enquiries appropriately and help build meaningful conversations.
- Identify relevant conversations, sector themes and opportunities to increase reach and engagement.
- Support employee advocacy by helping consultants share timely, relevant and well‑presented content.
Creative and asset production
- Create and adapt branded assets for social media, campaigns, reports, presentations and other marketing activity.
- Use Canva and Adobe InDesign to produce professional, on‑brand content in line with MRG’s visual identity.
- Work with existing templates and brand guidelines, maintaining consistency across markets and formats.
- Manage assets and amends efficiently, balancing quality with turnaround times.
Campaign planning and delivery
- Help plan and deliver integrated campaigns that support brand awareness, lead generation and thought leadership.
- Support targeted activity for priority sectors, markets, lapsed clients and other agreed audiences.
- Coordinate campaign activity with consultants and regional marketing champions, making delivery practical across time zones.
- Ensure campaigns have a clear purpose, audience, call to action and follow‑up process.
Performance, reporting and improvement
- Track and report on relevant measures, including LinkedIn engagement, website activity, email performance and campaign response.
- Use tools such as LinkedIn analytics, Google Analytics 4 and MRG’s CRM reporting where appropriate.
- Explain what the results mean, identify what is working and recommend practical improvements.
- Help connect marketing activity to meaningful outcomes such as enquiries, conversations, meetings and opportunities, without overstating attribution.
What we’re looking for
- Excellent written English and the ability to adapt tone for different audiences and channels.
- Practical marketing experience, particularly copywriting, content planning and social media management.
- Confidence creating marketing assets using Canva and/or Adobe InDesign.
- Good organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage several pieces of work and meet deadlines.
- A proactive, self‑sufficient approach: you take ownership, follow things through and ask sensible questions when needed.
- An interest in understanding performance and using evidence to improve marketing activity.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with colleagues across different teams and countries.
Useful experience:
- Experience in professional services, recruitment, executive search or a B2B environment.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics 4, LinkedIn analytics, email marketing platforms or CRM systems.
- Experience supporting campaigns, newsletters, market reports, webinars or thought‑leadership content.
What success looks like
- A reliable, well‑managed content calendar with high‑quality content delivered consistently.
- Stronger and more consistent social media activity, including meaningful engagement and consultant participation.
- Professional, on‑brand assets delivered efficiently to support campaigns and business development.
- Clear, regular reporting that shows what activity is achieving and what should change next.
- A growing library of useful content that showcases MRG’s international reach, expertise and distinctive approach.
