Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize daily delivery routes and schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize transit times and fuel consumption.
• Coordinate and manage the allocation of the company's fleet of vehicles, ensuring optimal utilization and availability.
• Monitor fleet performance, including fuel efficiency, maintenance schedules, and driver behavior, using telematics and tracking systems.
• Liaise with drivers to provide clear instructions, address concerns, and ensure adherence to schedules and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of fleet operations, including mileage, fuel consumption, maintenance, and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations, safety standards, and licensing requirements.
• Collaborate with warehouse and sales teams to coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities.
• Respond to logistical challenges and emergencies, implementing timely and effective solutions.
• Prepare regular reports on fleet performance, delivery metrics, and cost analysis for management.

Requirements

• A relevant qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics planning, route optimization, and fleet management.
• Proven experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and fleet management software.
• Strong understanding of road networks and transportation regulations within Gauteng and surrounding areas.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
