About the Role

Our client, a growing logistics and distribution company, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to manage fleet operations and optimize delivery schedules. This role, based in Paarl, Western Cape, requires a blend of administrative, operational, and problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for coordinating daily dispatch activities, ensuring efficient vehicle utilization, tracking shipments, and maintaining clear communication channels between drivers, clients, and management. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage daily dispatch operations for a fleet of delivery vehicles.

• Communicate effectively with drivers, providing instructions, support, and updates.

• Maintain accurate records of fleet maintenance, driver logs, and delivery confirmations.
• Monitor driver performance and adherence to schedules and company policies.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Prepare regular reports on dispatch activities, fleet utilization, and delivery performance.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and safety standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in logistics coordination, dispatch, or fleet management.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles and transportation operations.
• Proficiency in using logistics management software (e.g., WMS, TMS) and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask.
