Job summary

Elchemie Recruitment is recruiting a Life Science Sales Representative for a permanent role based in Pretoria, covering Pretoria, Limpopo, and Mpumalanga. You will build lasting customer relationships, provide solutions for life science and laboratory needs, and drive territory growth.

You will manage existing accounts, identify new opportunities, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver technical support and accurate sales reporting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in life science or laboratory equipment sales.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English; excellent verbal and written communication.
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Must be based in or near Pretoria.
• BSc degree in Life Sciences or a related field.
• Knowledge of molecular biology or laboratory experience.
• Established relationships with research/academic institutions (UP, TUT, ARC, CSIR).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve territory targets and gross profit objectives.
• Manage and grow relationships with existing customers while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
• Expand the company’s market presence within the life science and laboratory sector.
• Provide product information, technical sales support and tailored solutions to customers.
• Maintain accurate customer information and sales activities on the CRM system.
• Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts and territory updates.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and ongoing technical support.
• Manage the territory independently while maintaining professional standards and adhering to company policies.
• Travel throughout the assigned territory and undertake occasional travel to other regions as required.
