Placements24 is seeking a passionate Leisure & Sports Event Coordinator to join our Cape Town team. This hybrid role combines office collaboration with remote work, supporting planning and execution of sporting and leisure events across the Western Cape.

You will coordinate vendors, manage registrations, develop timelines and budgets, and provide on-site support to ensure memorable participant experiences. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in event coordination and strong organizational skills.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a passionate and organized Leisure & Sports Event Coordinator to join their dynamic team based in Cape Town . This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work both remotely and from our client's office, allowing you to contribute to the planning and execution of exciting sporting and leisure events across the Western Cape. You will be responsible for managing event logistics, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring the seamless delivery of memorable experiences for participants and attendees. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and execution of various sports and leisure events, from initial concept to post-event analysis.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to secure necessary resources, services, and permits.
• Manage event registration, ticketing, and attendee communication to ensure a smooth participant experience.
• Develop and maintain detailed event timelines and budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring adherence.
• Provide on-site support during events, managing logistics, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the safety and satisfaction of all involved.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events and manage event-specific communication campaigns.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in event coordination, preferably within the leisure or sports sector.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in event management software and standard office applications.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
