Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all operational aspects of the leisure centre, including fitness facilities, sports courts, pools, and common areas.
• Manage and develop a team of centre staff, including front desk, fitness instructors, and maintenance personnel.
• Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and maintenance across all facilities and equipment.
• Develop and manage the centre's operational budget, controlling expenses and identifying revenue enhancement opportunities.
• Implement and enforce centre policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Enhance member experience through excellent customer service and effective program delivery.
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts for services such as cleaning, security, and maintenance.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase membership and program participation.
• Conduct regular facility inspections and address any maintenance or operational issues promptly.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to promote centre activities and services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in leisure centre management, facility operations, or a similar role in the hospitality or sports industry.
• Proven leadership and team management skills with experience in staff training and development.
• Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and revenue generation.
• In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and security regulations relevant to leisure facilities.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in facility management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
