About the Role

Our client, a prominent operator of leisure and recreational facilities, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Leisure Centre Manager to oversee their operations in Mahikeng, North West. This comprehensive role involves managing all aspects of the facility, including fitness, sports courts, community programs, and customer services, to ensure a vibrant and welcoming environment for all patrons. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen understanding of operational efficiency, and a passion for promoting health, fitness, and community engagement within the Mahikeng, North West area.

Key Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the leisure centre, ensuring high standards of service and facility upkeep. Manage a diverse team of staff, including fitness instructors, receptionists, and maintenance personnel. Develop and implement engaging programs and activities to attract and retain members. Manage budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for revenue generation. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations. Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints effectively to maintain high satisfaction levels. Oversee marketing and promotional activities to increase facility usage and membership. Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and community partners. Implement and maintain efficient operational systems and procedures.

Requirements Proven experience in managing leisure centres, fitness facilities, or similar hospitality/recreation venues. Strong leadership, team management, and staff development skills. Excellent understanding of budgeting, financial management, and P&L responsibilities. Proficiency in facility management, health and safety protocols, and customer service best practices. Strong marketing and sales acumen. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities. A relevant qualification in Leisure Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by the operational needs of the centre. Demonstrated commitment to promoting health and well-being.
