Job summary

Placements24 is assisting a client in East London, Eastern Cape to hire an Industrial Process Optimization Engineer. You will analyze and improve manufacturing processes to maximize efficiency and productivity while reducing waste.

Responsibilities include applying Lean and Six Sigma, designing solutions, studying workflows, creating performance dashboards, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and training staff on new processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering
4+ years of experience in process engineering or operations analysis
Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools proficiency
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with data analysis and interpretation
Familiarity with process simulation software is a plus

Responsibilities

Analyze existing industrial processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
Design, develop, and implement Lean/Six Sigma-based solutions.
Study workflow, material handling, and equipment utilization to improve performance.
Develop and deploy performance metrics and dashboards to monitor KPIs.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality control to implement changes.
Provide training and support to operations on new processes and best practices
