Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Process Industrial Engineer for our Port Elizabeth manufacturing operations. You will analyze and improve production processes, designing optimized workflows and implementing new technologies in close collaboration with production teams.

The role emphasizes Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, data analysis, and hands-on development of SOPs to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of process/industrial engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Strong Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma knowledge.
• Experience with process simulation software and statistics.
• Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop data-driven improvement solutions.
• Design and implement optimized workflows, layouts, and material handling systems.
• Utilize lean principles and tools (Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen) to drive operational excellence.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
• Collaborate with quality control and production teams to ensure standards and troubleshoot issues.
• Monitor KPIs and provide regular reports on process performance.
