Job summary

Outsidecapital is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer in Tembisa, Gauteng to drive manufacturing efficiency and quality improvements. The role focuses on applying lean and Six Sigma methodologies on the shop floor, with data-driven strategies and collaboration with production teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• At least 4 years in industrial engineering or process improvement in manufacturing.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies and wastes.
• Lead lean initiatives (5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping).
• Apply Six Sigma to root-cause defects and implement actions.
• Design plant layouts and improve ergonomics for efficiency.
• Develop KPIs and monitor improvement outcomes.
• Train production staff on new procedures and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance for reliability.
• Prepare reports and present recommendations to management.
• Manage pilot projects before full-scale rollout.
• Ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards.
