Placements24 is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer for our client in Tembisa, Gauteng. You will lead Lean manufacturing projects, map value streams, and implement Six Sigma and Kaizen initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and costs across production lines.

You will develop SOPs, monitor outcomes, train staff, collaborate with engineers and management, and ensure safety and quality standards while driving a culture of continuous improvement in the South African manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
• Proven experience in process improvement within manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data interpretation.
• Experience with Lean tools and value stream/process mapping.
• Excellent project management and communication abilities.

Responsabilités

• Analyze existing production processes to identify improvement areas for efficiency, quality, and cost.
• Design and implement process improvements using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
• Develop and deploy SOPs to ensure consistency across production lines.
• Monitor performance of changes and report results with key metrics.
• Collaborate with production teams, engineers and management to ensure smooth adoption.
• Train and mentor staff on process improvement techniques and best practices.
• Conduct root cause analyses and develop effective solutions.
• Identify opportunities for automation and tech enhancements.
• Maintain detailed documentation of changes and outcomes.
