Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer for our Port Elizabeth client to drive operations excellence. The role focuses on analyzing processes, implementing lean practices, and improving productivity and quality across manufacturing lines.

You will map processes, study time and flow, develop SOPs, and collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams. A hands-on approach and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial engineering or process improvement.
• Solid understanding of lean principles, Six Sigma tools, and 5S methodology.
• Proficiency in process mapping, data analysis, and relevant engineering software.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing production processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for enhancement.
• Implement lean manufacturing techniques and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
• Conduct time studies, work measurement, and workflow analysis to optimize resource allocation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to achieve operational goals.
• Track and report on KPIs related to productivity and cost savings.
