Placements24 seeks an Industrial Engineer Specialist to join its manufacturing operations in Port Elizabeth. You will analyze processes, design efficient layouts, and drive continuous improvement to boost productivity and quality.

Ideal candidates have a solid Lean background, 3–5 years in manufacturing, and strong analytical and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams on innovative production solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
3–5 years of experience in an industrial engineering role, preferably in manufacturing.
Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques.

Responsibilities

Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and propose optimization strategies.
Design and implement improved production line layouts and material flow systems.
Develop and track KPIs for production efficiency and quality.
Conduct time studies, work sampling, and ergonomic assessments to improve labor productivity and safety.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to implement process changes and new technologies.
Document processes and procedures, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
