Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer focused on Production Optimization to join our Randburg facility. You will analyze processes, identify improvements, and implement data‑driven solutions to boost efficiency and productivity.

The role requires strong analytical skills, manufacturing knowledge, and proactive problem solving. You will collaborate with production teams to integrate optimized processes and maintain competitive operational standards while driving continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a strong emphasis on production optimization.
• Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies (e.g., VSM, 5S, Kaizen).
• Proficiency in statistical analysis, simulation software, and process mapping tools.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for enhancement.
• Develop and implement strategies for optimizing production flow, resource allocation, and throughput using Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Conduct time and motion studies to improve work methods and productivity standards.
• Design and document new or improved production processes, layouts, and workflows.
• Collaborate with production supervisors and teams to implement changes and ensure adherence to standards.
• Monitor KPIs related to production efficiency and report on progress.
