Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer specializing in Production Optimization to join its operations in Rustenburg. The role focuses on driving efficiency, reducing costs, and boosting productivity across manufacturing lines.

You will analyze current production methods, implement innovative solutions, design layouts, and lead cross‑functional teams to achieve targets while maintaining high quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience as an Industrial Engineer in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of lean, Six Sigma, and SPC.
• Experience with simulation software (Arena, FlexSim) and CAD tools.
• Excellent analytical and project management skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Analyse production processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Develop, test, and implement new production methodologies to boost output and quality.
• Design factory layouts and material flow systems for optimal space utilization and workflow.
• Collaborate with production managers to meet targets and resolve issues.
• Lead cost-reduction, waste-elimination, and productivity improvement projects.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for production efficiency and quality control.
