Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Manufacturing Operations Engineer to join our Rustenburg facility. You will analyze production lines, identify improvements, and implement solutions to optimize workflows and reduce costs, driving efficiency, quality, and productivity across operations.

You'll lead initiatives in lean manufacturing, automation, and MES-driven improvements, collaborating with production teams and maintenance to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable operations with measurable

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 6 years' experience in manufacturing operations or industrial engineering.
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).
Experience with process automation, robotics, and MES.

Responsibilities

Analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies, safety hazards, and quality deviations.
Develop and implement improvements to enhance production throughput, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste.
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of new manufacturing technologies and equipment.
Collaborate with production teams to provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing issues.
Establish and monitor KPIs for production efficiency, quality, and cost.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards in the production area.
