Job summary

Placements24 invites an Industrial Engineer with a passion for Lean Manufacturing to join our client’s Sandton operations. You will drive efficiency, reduce waste, and foster a culture of ongoing improvement across all manufacturing processes.

Lead Kaizen events, apply Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kanban and Poka-Yoke, and partner with production and management to identify opportunities and sustain improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related technical field.
• 4+ years of experience in industrial engineering with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
• Proven ability to apply Lean tools and drive improvement projects.
• Strong analytical, facilitation, training, and communication skills.
• Experience with process mapping and documenting SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives and CI projects in Sandton.
• Apply Lean tools (VSM, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, Poka-Yoke) to optimize processes.
• Identify waste, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities in current processes.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce lead times.
• Train and mentor employees on Lean principles and CI techniques.
• Support SOP development and best practices; measure KPI impact.
