Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a results-driven Industrial Engineer specializing in Lean Manufacturing to join our Mahikeng team. This role focuses on driving efficiency, eliminating waste, and boosting productivity across manufacturing operations.

You will implement lean principles, optimize workflows, and foster a culture of continuous improvement, requiring strong analytical skills and a track record of successful lean initiatives in a manufacturing context in the North West province.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience implementing lean in an industrial setting.
• Proven success in leading Kaizen events and CI projects.
• Strong Lean tools knowledge and their application.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience with process mapping and data analysis is essential.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production processes to identify waste and apply lean solutions.
• Develop strategies to improve workflow, reduce lead times, and optimize inventory.
• Train and mentor staff on lean concepts and best practices.
• Establish and monitor KPIs related to lean and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure lean tools enhance productivity, quality, and safety in the plant.
