Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to serve as Continuous Improvement Lead on-site in Sandton, Gauteng. The role focuses on driving efficiency, reducing waste, and delivering cost savings through Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives.

You will mentor teams, manage improvement projects, and partner with departments to embed a culture of operational excellence across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
• Minimum 5 years in industrial engineering with continuous improvement focus.
• Black Belt or Master Black Belt in Six Sigma desirable.
• Proven track record leading Lean/Six Sigma projects with measurable results.
• Strong facilitation, coaching, and change management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive continuous improvement strategy.
• Lead Lean and Six Sigma projects (DMAIC) to drive improvements.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and cost savings.
• Mentor and train employees on CI tools and methodologies.
• Establish and track KPIs to monitor initiative effectiveness.
• Conduct process audits and value stream mapping to identify bottlenecks.
• Promote continuous improvement culture across departments.
• Collaborate with managers to align CI with business objectives.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets.
• Report progress to senior leadership.
