You will lead a team of engineers and drafters, ensure technical integrity, safety and economical viability, and coordinate with architects, contractors and clients from concept to construction.

The role demands a strong track record in multi-storey/large-span structures, expertise in SANS and structural analysis software, and exceptional leadership

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Structural/Civil Engineering with a structural major was completed.
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• Minimum 10 years of post-graduate structural engineering experience, with leadership exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design process from concept to construction completion for diverse building projects.
• Mentor and manage a team of engineers, designers, and technicians.
• Perform advanced structural analyses ensuring code compliance (SANS).
• Design structural elements using steel, concrete, and composites.
• Prepare and review drawings, calculations, and reports.
• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and consultants to align on projects.
• Conduct site inspections to verify construction quality and adherence to specs.
• Manage project risks, timelines and budgets.
• Contribute to business development through proposals and client presentations.
• Stay updated with advancements in structural software and techniques.
