Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering with a structural major.
• Professional registration as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) with ECSA is essential.
• Minimum 8 years of post-graduate experience in structural engineering design for buildings.

Responsabilités

• Lead the structural design process for building projects from concept to construction support.
• Perform structural analysis and calculations for steel, concrete, timber, and masonry structures.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications and contract docs.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors and clients.
• Ensure designs comply with South African codes and standards.
• Manage project schedules and budgets; mentor junior staff.
• Conduct site visits and address structural issues as they arise.
• Participate in project meetings and client presentations.
• Stay updated with advances in materials, software and design methods.
