Job summary

Placements24 is actively seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead major design projects in Stellenbosch and the Western Cape. You will guide concept through delivery, ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with architects, contractors, and clients to shape the built environment.

The role requires a Master’s in Structural Engineering, Pr. Eng registration with ECSA, and 8+ years’ post-qualification experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is required.
• Pr. Eng registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• Minimum 8 years of post-graduate experience in structural engineering design and project management.
• Experience designing diverse structures in Stellenbosch, Western Cape.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design processes for buildings and infrastructure, ensuring code compliance.
• Perform complex structural analysis using advanced software.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Conduct site inspections and provide construction phase support in Stellenbosch.
• Manage project timelines, budgets and resources.
