Job summary

The President Hotel in Cape Town seeks an experienced Spa Manager who thrives in a luxury, guest-focused environment. You will lead daily spa operations, remain visible on the floor, and perform treatments when needed to support service excellence.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in a spa or luxury wellness setting, supervisory experience, and a solid grasp of Spa operations, guest relations and health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Spa, Beauty Therapy, Somatology, Wellness or Hospitality.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a professional spa or luxury wellness environment.
• Previous supervisory or management experience within a spa essential.
• Must be willing to perform professional spa treatments when operationally required.
• Experience with spa booking systems; Fresha experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the efficient day-to-day operations of the spa.
• Lead from the front and remain visible in daily spa operations.
• Perform professional spa treatments when required by operational needs.
• Oversee the spa reception area and support reception operations when needed.
• Ensure bookings, guest arrivals, enquiries, scheduling and the guest journey are managed.
• Lead the spa team and ensure exceptional service and standards.
• Manage staff rosters and ensure appropriate coverage.
• Coach, mentor and develop spa team members.
