FROGG Recruitment SA is seeking a visionary Lead Property Development Manager to oversee a portfolio of developments in Cape Town, Western Cape. This senior role spans conception to handover, requiring strategic thinking, profitability focus, and high standards of quality and sustainability.

You will lead complex projects, manage budgets, secure approvals, supervise design and construction, and shape marketing strategies with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Property Development, Urban Planning, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Master's degree is highly desirable.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant property development experience with a strong project portfolio.
• Proven track record managing complex development lifecycles from concept to handover.
• Solid knowledge of SA building codes, zoning and planning regulations (Cape Town area).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage property development projects across residential, commercial and mixed‑use sectors.
• Develop comprehensive plans with timelines, budgets and resource allocation.
• Conduct feasibility studies, market analysis and site evaluations.
• Secure permits, approvals and zoning from local authorities.
• Oversee design processes with architects, engineers and planners.
• Manage tendering, contractor selection and supervision of construction.
• Ensure quality, safety and regulatory compliance on site.
• Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies with teams.
• Control project finances, budgets and cash flow forecasting.
• Engage with investors, government, community groups and end-users.
• Ensure timely completion and handover of completed properties.
• Identify and mitigate project risks throughout the lifecycle.
