Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Industrial Engineer to manage and enhance manufacturing operations in East London, South Africa. This on-site leadership role focuses on operational excellence, process optimization, and cost efficiency while guiding a team of engineers.

You will apply lean and Six Sigma methods, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with senior management to align engineering initiatives with business goals.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering required.
• 7+ years of experience in industrial engineering with 2+ years in leadership.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and project management.
• Proven leadership and ability to manage engineering teams.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing principles, supply chain and quality control.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of industrial engineers to high performance.
• Develop and implement plans for process optimization, waste reduction and productivity.
• Oversee design, implementation and validation of new manufacturing processes.
