Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer with a specialization in manufacturing processes for our East London operations. The role focuses on optimizing production workflows, improving efficiency, and upholding high quality standards on-site.

You will analyze current methods, implement lean and Six Sigma improvements, and collaborate closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to drive operational excellence in a well-established manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or process improvement.
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in process analysis tools, CAD software, and data analysis techniques.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, and quality.
• Design, develop, and implement new production line layouts and workflows to optimize material and personnel movement.
• Utilize lean manufacturing tools, such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, and Kaizen, to eliminate waste and variability.
• Conduct time studies, capacity planning, and simulation modeling to support process optimization efforts.
• Collaborate with production supervisors, quality control, and maintenance teams to implement and sustain improvements.
• Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, work instructions, and training materials.
