Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Project Engineer to drive electrical installations and upgrades in mining operations around Rustenburg. You will oversee the complete lifecycle from concept through commissioning, ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability while mentoring a project team.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, 10+ years in electrical engineering with at least 5 years in a lead role, and has strong HV project experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in electrical engineering with at least 5 years in a lead/project management role.
• Experience in mining/heavy industry projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design and high-voltage systems.
• ECSA registration is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead all electrical engineering aspects from conception to completion.
• Develop detailed project plans: scope, budget, timelines and resources.
• Oversee design, procurement, installation and commissioning of electrical infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with mining safety regulations and best practices.
• Mentor and manage a team of engineers and technicians.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors and regulators for project progress.
