Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, with significant experience in the mining industry or heavy industrial environments.
• Proven expertise in high-voltage systems, power distribution, motor control, and automation.
• Proficiency with electrical design software and PLC programming.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations pertinent to mining operations.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, and maintain all electrical systems and equipment within the mining operation, including power generation, distribution, and control systems.
• Ensure all electrical installations and operations comply with relevant mining safety regulations and industry standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments of electrical equipment and infrastructure.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for electrical faults and failures, implementing timely and effective repairs.
• Manage electrical maintenance projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and contractor supervision.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior electrical staff and technicians.
