Placements24 is seeking a Lead Electrical Project Engineer to manage electrical infrastructure projects in Klerksdorp, North West. You will drive concepts through to handover, lead internal and external teams, and ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery on demanding mining/heavy industry sites.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and 8+ years of experience in project management, preferably in mining.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years in electrical engineering project management in mining/heavy industry.
• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Knowledge of electrical power systems, HV equipment, and control systems.
• Strong project management skills and familiarity with MS Project/Primavera P6.
• Excellent budgeting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical projects from initiation to completion on-site in Klerksdorp.
• Develop detailed project plans including scope, scheduling, budgeting and risk management.
• Oversee design and engineering of electrical systems; ensure code compliance.
• Manage internal and external teams, contractors and consultants.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely material delivery.
• Supervise installation, testing, commissioning and handover with safety first.
• Prepare progress reports for senior management with KPIs and expenditures.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
