Placements24 is seeking an experienced Banquet Chef to oversee the banquet operations in Benoni, Gauteng. You will lead a dedicated kitchen team, design diverse menus for large events, and manage food costs to deliver exceptional culinary experiences for weddings, conferences, and other upscale gatherings.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in high-volume catering, strong leadership skills, and a passion for culinary excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in banquet operations within large hotels or high-volume catering.
• Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Expertise in menu development, costing, and inventory management.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles.
• Willingness to relocate to Benoni, Gauteng.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage banquet kitchen operations for all events.
• Develop creative banquet menus aligned with client needs and trends.
• Supervise, train, and motivate the banquet kitchen brigade.
• Control food costs, manage inventory, and procure quality ingredients.
• Enforce health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with Banqueting Manager and Sales team for seamless events.
• Maintain top-notch food presentation and service delivery.
• Conduct regular kitchen inspections and implement improvements.
