Placements24 in Nelspruit is seeking an experienced Banquet Chef to lead the banquet kitchen operations for conferences, weddings, and large events. You will manage large-scale food production, ensure consistency, and uphold safety and presentation standards.

You will supervise kitchen staff, develop production schedules, control costs, and collaborate with the Head Chef and Catering Manager to meet client specifications and deliver exceptional experiences.

Formación

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as Banquet Chef, Sous Chef or Chef de Partie in high-volume catering or hotel banquet settings.
• Proficiency in large-scale food preparation, buffet management, and plated meal service.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP principles.
• Experience in inventory management and cost control.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee all banquet kitchen operations for events and ensure efficient production and timely service.
• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes for banquets following established recipes and quality standards.
• Lead, mentor, and train the banquet kitchen team; provide performance feedback.
• Develop production schedules to optimize workflow and manage staff effectively.
• Monitor inventory, control costs, rotate stock and minimize waste.
• Collaborate with Head Chef and Catering Manager on menu planning and event requirements.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized kitchen environment; conduct quality checks on all items.
