Placements24 is seeking a Senior Automotive Service Manager to lead the service department in Kimberley, Northern Cape. You will drive customer satisfaction, manage a team of service advisors and technicians, and ensure profitable operations within the dealership.

The role requires strong leadership, deep automotive service knowledge, and the ability to implement data-driven strategies while maintaining high service standards and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in senior service management roles within automotive dealerships.
• Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes, diagnostics and service management principles.
• Excellent leadership, team management and motivational skills.
• Strong customer service orientation and conflict resolution abilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the service department to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service.
• Lead, train and motivate service advisors, technicians and support staff.
• Maintain exceptional customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and resolving issues.
• Develop strategies to maximise profitability through services, parts and accessories.
• Monitor KPIs such as CSI, repair orders, technician productivity and profitability.
• Control inventory levels and manage vendor relationships for parts and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer standards and health & safety regulations.
• Coordinate workshop capacity, scheduling and resource allocation.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
