Placements24 is seeking a skilled Helpdesk Support Technician to join our IT support team in Klerksdorp. You will provide first-level support for hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring smooth IT operations for employees from our Klerksdorp base.

Responsibilities include diagnosing problems, installing hardware and software, managing user accounts, and maintaining IT documentation. A customer-focused attitude and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Helpdesk Technician or in a similar IT support role.
• Strong knowledge of PC hardware, Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP networking concepts.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Customer-focused with strong communication skills, based in Klerksdorp.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Diagnose and resolve technical problems via phone, email, or in-person support.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
