Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in key account management, relationship management, or sales within commercial lending or asset-based finance.
• Strong understanding of asset finance products, including finance leases, operating leases, invoice discounting, and floor plan facilities.
• Strong sales, negotiation, and deal-structuring ability.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Sound knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements within commercial finance.

Job Purpose

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with key broker partners and an existing portfolio of commercial clients within the asset-based finance space. This role focuses on maintaining strong broker relationships, identifying growth opportunities within broker-introduced portfolios, structuring suitable financing solutions, and ensuring seamless deal execution in collaboration with internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Management

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key brokers and existing commercial clients.
• Act as the primary point of contact for brokers and key accounts, understanding their funding requirements and business objectives.
• Conduct regular portfolio reviews to identify opportunities for additional funding or service enhancements.

Business Development

• Identify and pursue new funding opportunities within existing broker portfolios.

• Grow revenue streams from both broker-introduced and direct client business.

Financial & Risk Assessment

• Analyse client financials, asset portfolios, and creditworthiness to recommend appropriate funding structures.
• Monitor portfolio performance and identify early warning signs to mitigate risk exposure.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal credit policies.
