Job summary

The Talent Room in George is seeking a motivated Junior IT Technician to join our team. The role involves providing remote and on-site technical support to end-users and assisting with IT equipment installation and maintenance.

Candidates should have basic Windows, networking and hardware knowledge, strong troubleshooting skills, and good communication. A valid driver’s license and own vehicle are essential for travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Matric with IT-related certification or studies advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking, and hardware.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle (essential).
• Willingness to learn and grow within the IT field.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to users, both remotely and onsite.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment.
• Set up and support printers, desktops, laptops, and other peripherals.
• Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.
• Perform routine system checks and updates.
• Assist senior technicians with projects and onsite client support.
