Placements24 in Mahikeng is seeking a technically adept and customer-focused Graduate IT Support Specialist to join the IT department. This role provides an excellent pathway for recent IT graduates to gain practical experience in providing technical support and maintaining IT infrastructure.

You will diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for employees, work in a hybrid model with a supportive IT team, and contribute to maintaining a stable and efficient technology

Qualifications

• A degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Fundamental knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS), and common software.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; excellent customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues via effective troubleshooting.
• Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT staff or vendors as needed.
• Assist in IT inventory management, asset tracking, and documentation of procedures.
• Promote IT security best practices and user awareness training.
