Job summary

Headhunters is seeking an IT Support Specialist to install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and networks in Paarl. You will diagnose issues, provide user guidance, and ensure system stability.

The role covers Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, VMware, and Hyper-V environments, with a focus on security and efficient IT operations. Ideal candidates have a degree or diploma in IT or CS, strong networking knowledge, and experience with Windows and Linux.

Qualifications

Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Strong understanding of computer systems, networking principles, and IT infrastructure.
Experience diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
Knowledge of networking principles and infrastructure.
Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure and Intune.
Knowledge of VMware and Hyper-V environments.
Understanding of IT security principles and best practices.
Ability to evaluate technical solutions within business/budget constraints.
Microsoft certification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, maintain, and support hardware, software, and network systems.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and user-support issues.
Respond promptly to technical support requests.
Keep users informed of technical issues and resolution progress.
Provide clear technical guidance and training to users.
Document support activities, resolutions, and system changes accurately.
Collaborate with IT team to maintain day-to-day operations.
Perform system upgrades and assist with technical improvements.
Maintain security standards across the IT environment.
Complete assigned tasks while maintaining system stability.
Troubleshoot routine issues and perform scheduled maintenance.
Support Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure, VMware, and Hyper-V environments.
