Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to oversee end-to-end IT and business system implementations from requirements to training. The role is based in Randburg with a flexible Hybrid working arrangement, combining on-site collaboration and remote work.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in IT project management, PMP/PRINCE2 certification, and a strong technical background. You will coordinate IT teams, business units, and external vendors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in IT project management with at least 5 years in complex system implementations (ERP, CRM, HRIS).
• PM certifications (PMP or PRINCE2) are required.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Jira and Asana; familiarity with Agile and Waterfall approaches.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills; vendor management and contract oversight.
• Experience with change management and user training for new systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution and delivery of IT and business systems implementation projects.
• Develop detailed project plans with scope, timelines, budgets and risks.
• Manage cross-functional teams and vendor relationships; negotiate contracts.
• Ensure alignment with objectives and quantify value through efficiency gains.
• Monitor budgets, expenditures and ensure cost-effective delivery.
• Oversee UAT, SIT and end-user training; provide status reports to senior management.
