Job summary

AtripleA recruitment & temps is seeking an IT Engineer to support desktop, network, and basic server tasks across remote and onsite rotations in the Western Cape. The role includes a three‑month annual onsite rotation at Piketberg during harvest season and steady standby coverage outside normal hours.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years in technical support or MSP environments, with knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, AD/Entra ID, and basic networking.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) is required.
• IT Diploma / Certificate or equivalent technical qualification.
• 1–3 years' experience in technical support or MSP environments.
• Experience supporting multiple client environments in MSP settings.
• Previous MSP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote end-user support mainly via Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Install, update and maintain Windows desktops/laptops (Win 10/11).
• Monitor client systems with RMM tools; perform basic troubleshooting.
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers when required.
• Travel to Piketberg for a 3‑month onsite rotation during harvest season; install/repair equipment and set up workstations.
• Log, track and resolve service desk tickets; document troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
• Manage user accounts/permissions (Active Directory / Entra ID) and assist with deployments.
• Follow cybersecurity practices and handle data confidentially.
