Job summary

Express Employment Professionals (VAAL) is seeking an IT Engineer to provide day-to-day desktop, network, and basic server support. The role splits remote support for most of the year with a 3‑month onsite rotation in Piketberg during harvest season.

The candidate should be bilingual (English & Afrikaans) and ready for standby duties. The ideal person has 1–3 years in technical support, MSP experience, and working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows, and basic networking.

Qualifications

Matric (Grade 12) – essential.
IT Diploma / Certificate or equivalent technical qualification.
1–3 years’ experience in technical support or MSP environment.
MSP experience essential.
Experience supporting multiple client environments advantageous.
Basic networking, Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365 knowledge.
Bilingual – fluent in English and Afrikaans (spoken and written).
Willing to relocate temporarily to Piketberg for 3 months/year during harvest.

Responsibilities

Provide remote technical support to end users via Microsoft 365 tools.
Install, update, and maintain Windows desktops/laptops.
Monitor client systems using RMM tools and handle basic server tasks.
Escalate complex issues to senior engineers when required.
Onsite rotation in Piketberg for 3 months during harvest season.
Log, track, and resolve support tickets; document troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
