Job summary

Hirefarout is seeking an Insurance Solutions Consultant to join our Pretoria-based team. The role involves translating client business requirements into practical software solutions, leading discovery workshops, and configuring the platform for demonstrations.

Reporting to the Head of Customer Success, you will prepare functional requirements and documentation, deliver demonstrations and training, and support proposals and RFP responses.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or business analysis qualification preferred.
• Solid experience in the insurance industry with understanding of policy administration, underwriting and claims.
• Experience as a BA, Functional/solutions consultant in client-facing roles.
• Facilitating requirements workshops and preparing functional documentation.
• Experience with insurance policy administration systems or platform configuration is advantageous.
• Experience presenting software solutions and training business users.
• Ability to translate complex insurance processes into clear, practical solutions.

Role Overview

Our client, a specialist technology provider operating within the insurance industry, is looking for an Insurance Solutions Consultant to join their Pretoria-based team.

The business provides software solutions that help insurance organisations manage their products, policies, claims and operational processes more effectively.

Reporting to the Head of Customer Success, you will work directly with insurance clients to understand their business requirements and translate these into practical software solutions. This includes leading discovery workshops, configuring and demonstrating the platform, documenting proposed solutions and preparing clients for successful implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead client discovery workshops to understand insurance products, workflows, business rules and operational challenges.
• Translate business needs into practical software solutions, identifying configuration requirements, integrations and functionality gaps.
• Configure the insurance platform using built-in tools and deliver tailored demonstrations based on real client scenarios.
• Produce functional requirements, gap analyses, solution proposals and documentation for client approval and implementation.
• Deliver product demonstrations and training to client stakeholders, system administrators and end users.
• Support sales proposals and RFP responses, including solution scoping, requirements and implementation considerations.
• Collaborate with sales, product and delivery teams to ensure requirements are accurately handed over and solutions meet client expectations.

Qualifications & Experience

• A relevant degree or business analysis qualification is advantageous, although relevant practical experience will be prioritised.
• Solid experience in the insurance industry, with a working understanding of policy administration, underwriting, claims and insurance operations.
• Previous experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Consultant, Solutions Consultant or similar client-facing professional.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating requirements workshops, conducting business analysis and preparing functional documentation.
• Exposure to insurance policy administration systems, platform configuration or software implementations is highly advantageous.
• Experience presenting software solutions, conducting demonstrations and training business users.
• Ability to translate complex insurance processes into clear, practical solutions for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
