Placements24 seeks an Industrial Engineer in Durban to analyze and redesign workflows for efficiency and throughput. You will implement production methodologies, improve product quality, and reduce operational costs in collaboration with production teams.

The role focuses on applying lean principles, conducting time studies, and driving continuous improvement across the facility in a dynamic industrial hub.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related technical field.
3–5 years of practical experience in process optimization.
Strong understanding of lean principles and value stream mapping.

Responsibilities

Analyze existing production processes to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
Design and implement new process flows and SOPs using lean techniques.
Lead cost-reduction, waste-minimization, and productivity-improvement projects.
Conduct time and motion studies, ergonomic assessments, and capacity planning.
Train staff on new procedures and ensure effective adoption.
Monitor performance of improvements and adjust as needed.
